Inaugural Porsche Club of Victoria Food and Wine Appreciation Dinner

Upstairs in “The Tea Room” at The European.

Wednesday, 2nd March 2022

Welcome to the first of a new series of events for PCV. Run quarterly, the Wine & Food dinners are a new initiative designed to introduce members to the cream of Melbourne’s restaurants with a specific focus on outstanding food and wine. These events are aimed at enthusiasts, those interested in learning more about food and especially wine, and members who are just wanting a great social dining experience with fellow PCV members.

If you’ve always wanted to learn more about Australian and international wines or simply want to enjoy some of the world’s best food and wines in a great setting then this is the event for you. Each course of the meal will be accompanied by explanations of the matched wines and will cater for all levels of wine knowledge from beginner upwards. Group discussion and questions are both encouraged and welcomed and we are pleased to have the restaurant Group Sommelier attending our dinner to introduce the wines and assist members to enjoy them to the fullest.

Our inaugural 5-course event will be held upstairs in “The Tea Room” private dining space, part of The European group on Spring Street in Melbourne’s CBD. A beautiful room with wood-panelled walls and high ceilings, The Tea Room is the perfect space for a classic food & wine event. The European is a Melbourne restaurant institution and a renowned venue.

To celebrate Porsche’s ongoing success in France with 17 wins at Le Mans our evening will be French-themed throughout, commencing with Champagne and Canapés on arrival, and modern French dishes to follow. Each course will be accompanied by outstanding French wines from areas such as Burgundy and the Rhone Valley (two wines with each course) and our Sommelier will introduce the wines and answer your questions.

This event promises to be a wonderful evening and places are strictly limited due to the nature of the event. Want more details? Please call the event co-ordinator Greg Burns on 0409 593 220.
