PHILLIP ISLAND SPRINT
Sunday 24th September 2017
Again we return to the ever popular Phillip Island for our Spring Supersprint. We have secured the higher 95dBA noise limit. With this being the second last event of the competition year, we are expecting a big roll up.
Gates will be open from 7.00am.
Supp Regs available here
Entry Fee $260 with own car numbers / $270 if you require numbers
Garages can be booked with entry
Evidence of prior experience or satisfactory completion of a high performance driver-training courses is a Club requirement for the timed competition classes. All competitors will require a Dorian transponder to be fitted to their cars for official times to be recorded. Please make sure they are properly fitted and charged. Dorians can be hired for the day, but must be booked at time of entry.
Entrée Class - fully booked, waiting list interest to Carly on firstname.lastname@example.org .
Entree Class will be run at Phillip Island. Entree Class is the ideal racetrack introduction for new members and those who haven't competed before. Entree Class numbers are limited. Entrants in the entrée class get separate sessions of un-timed practice. Mentors will be provided from experienced club members. No advanced driver training, fire extinguishers or Dorians are required. All you need is a CAMS Level 2S Licence, an approved helmet, suitable clothing (see Supp Regs) and a roadworthy vehicle. This is the perfect introduction to track days for new members.
Click Here for further Entree class information.
Passenger Laps during Lunch Break
Passenger laps will be run during the lunch break, subject to the approval of the Clerk of Course and only after all marshals that want rides are catered for. All passengers must sign disclaimers and attend a passenger’s briefing.
Open Pit Afternoon Session
If participants’ numbers drop off by mid-afternoon (common on many of our sprint days), we may consider the option of having an open pit from 3:30pm until close at 5:00pm. This open pit session may be declared either timed or untimed. If untimed, entrants can take another entrant with them on the track or have another entrant drive their car for training or evaluation purposes. All entrants that ride as passengers must sign a disclaimer.
A final decision on exercising this option will be made on the day.
The Phillip Island kiosk will be open and serving hot food, sandwiches and coffee throughout the day.
