Well, what seems like a long time coming, another Modern 911 Run has been organised and this time our final destination will be amongst nature.
By the way ALL members that wish to join us are also invited on what should be a Nature’s Safari trip. Maybe not a Safari.
This time we are heading north east of Melbourne for something different, along what should be some very enjoyable roads to our first stop at a Kinglake Cafe. The second part gets even better as we had south and for a change then head east before we reach our natural surroundings.
We will start our morning at Aura Cafe Lower Templestowe where we head north, east through Eltham, Watson Creek, Christmas Hills, Yarra Glen, Tarrawarra, Healesville, Castella to our first Café stop. This break should prepare us for the next part of our journey and the second run will be a little shorter through some fun familiar roads.
Once we've had a restful break the second part of our Run should be equally enjoyable as the first. With some déjà vu encounters. We start by heading south through St Andrews, Panton Hill before heading eastwards through Christmas Hills, Yarra Glen and Tarrawarra (if you’re having a déjà vu I warned you) to our final destination at Healesville Sanctuary Harvest/Brolga Room for a well deserved lunch rest.
The lunch provided will be a Bush BBQ Buffet menu and after lunch you will be treated and entertained by Healesville Sanctuary Bird Display (the feathered type). Entry is free, compliments of Lori Kravos Zoo’s Victoria.
I hope this invitation inspires you to join us on this Great Run with a difference in the wild.
In case you are wondering we have ample room to accommodate the first 40 members. So don’t leave too late and book early. You will not be disappointed. Entry to the Sanctuary is complimentary.
