Dear PCV Members,

For the third year in a row, Porsche Cars Australia will be participating in the Winton Festival of Speed (Long Track) on the weekend of August 11/12. In previous years we have been joined by Porsche Club Members who are keen to have some fun with their cars in a safe environment and also enjoy the company of other Porsche enthusiasts.

This is an extremely relaxed weekend. Porsches participate in the Regularity Events. Licence requirements are minimal (either an AASA licence available on the day @ $50 for 12 months, or an equivalent Level 2 Speed Licence). No driving suits required, just a helmet and neck to wrist to ankle clothing. This year, for the first time, fire extinguishers are not required.

PCA prepares a BBQ lunch each day and hosts a small function on the Saturday night. As you are all aware, this year we celebrate 60 Years of Porsche Clubs Worldwide.

We thought it would be a great opportunity to use the Winton Festival of Speed weekend as a celebration weekend. We have, therefore, organised some accommodation close by and would love to see some more Club Members than normal join us.

This event is not for serious racers, but for Club Members who would like to put their car on a track, confident in the knowledge that it will be a safe environment for them to do so.
