Phillip Island Super Sprint – Last Competition Event for 2014

Sunday 14 September

Noise Limit has been increased to 95dBa.

This Phillip Island sprint will be the last of our 11 competition events for the 2014 Competition Year. The last chance to move yourself up the points table.

Gates will be open from 7.30am. Supp Regs available here

Entry Fee $245

Garages - Garages are best booked on the morning of the event from the circuit staff. The circuit does not offer the Club a pre-booking service.

Competition Class

Evidence of prior experience or satisfactory completion of a high performance driver-training course is a Club requirement for the timed competition classes.

All competitors will require a Dorian transponder to be fitted to their cars for official times to be recorded. Please make sure they are properly fitted and charged. Dorians can be hired for the day, but must be booked at time of entry.

Entrée Class

Entree Class will be run at Phillip Island. Entree Class is the ideal racetrack introduction for new members and those who haven't competed before. Entree Class numbers are limited.

Entrants in the entrée class get separate sessions of un-timed practice. Instructors will be provided from experienced club members. No advanced driver training, fire extinguishers or dorians are required. All you need is a CAMS Level 2S Licence, an approved helmet, suitable clothing (see Supp Regs) and a roadworthy vehicle. This is the perfect introduction to track days for new members. Please note Entrée Class numbers are strictly limited.

Passenger Runs During Lunch Break

As per the Supp Regs, Competitors can arrange to take passengers out for a few laps during the lunch break. However this option will only be opened when enough drivers have agreed to take out any marshals that are keen to do a few laps.

Open Pit Afternoon Session

If participants’ numbers drop off by mid-afternoon, we may consider the option of having a timed open pit from around 3:30pm. This open pit session may be declared either timed or untimed. If untimed, entrants can take another entrant with them on the track for coaching or vehicle evaluation purposes. Track density will reduce to 15 if untimed. A final decision on exercising this option will be made on the day.

PCV Marshalling Team - Please contact Mark Behan via email if you are available to assist with this event or are new and would like to give marshalling a try.
